Entry Requirements

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Have the ability to read and write English and display numeracy skills to at least Year 10 level
  • Have a minimum of two years equivalent full-time workplace experience 
  • Understand business operations and planning
  • Be technologically literate and have access to google or Microsoft Office suite or equivalent
  • Have continuous internet and computer access

Course Structure

BSB4020 Certificate IV in leadership and management is a nationally recognised qualification that contains 12 units: 5 core units and 7 elective units. A full description of what's included in each unit is below in the what you will learn section.

Duration

Each student determines the duration of their study. Saltera works with each student to create a study schedule that suits their lifestyle and meets their objectives.


Saltera has designed an online model to allow students to customise their learning experience. On average we estimate this course will take between 9-12 months depending on the student's time capacity and previous skill sets.


If the student is determined to get the course done ASAP they can opt-in for the accelerated version of the program which is designed to be completed in 6-months. Students will work with the trainer to design a study plan and will have due dates for all their assessments to ensure they finish within the 6-month deadline.

Delivery

Currently, this is delivered through our friendly learning management portal, with live instructor lead assessment workshops. This blended learning style is perfect for students to be able to create a study schedule that suits their lifestyle and timeline goals.

Resources Required

Students are required to have access to a reliable internet connection to access Saltera’s online learning system and live instructor lead workshops. 


Students require access to a PC or MAC with MS Word and PowerPoint. Students will also need access to a camera and will need to the Google Meet platform.

Assessment Methods

Assessments include answering knowledge questions, completing reports, and practical skills tasks simulating workplace environments. 


You are required to demonstrate your skills to communicate effectively amongst key stakeholders. 

Career Outcomes

The outcomes will vary depending on previous skills, qualifications and experience. In general graduates of the course lead into the following roles: 

  • Strategic management roles with organisations to develop new or transition into disruptive business models through applying blockchain technologies. 
  • Management or consulting roles for organisational research to create a new flow of value through the tenets of blockchain. 
  • Operational roles implementing and incorporating distributed ledger technology with other emerging technologies and legacy systems.

The assessment deliverables are designed to demonstrate your skills to consult with teams to develop a framework for operating a blockchain network to address network membership integrity of peer operations.

Is the course technical? Do I need to know how to code?

All of our courses are non-technical courses and focus on how to apply emerging technologies to business applications. There are no coding skills required or taught in our course, however, you will learn how to create the documentation required to provide to the developers to bring the business model to life.
